PLURONIC PE 6100

PLURONIC PE 6100

Chemical Nature of Pluronic PE 6100:
Pluronic PE 6100 is a 100% active, low-foaming, nonionic surfactant.
Pluronic PE 6100 is block copolymers in which the central polypropylene glycol group is flanked by two polyethylene glycol groups.

Typical properties of Pluronic PE 6100:
Physical form(25 °C): Liquid
pH (5% in water): approx. 7
Cloud point (1% in water): [° C] approx. 23

Applications of Pluronic PE 6100:
-Food Service and Kitchen Hygiene
-Food and Beverage Processing
-Institutional Cleaning and Sanitation

Pluronic PE 6100 in this serie of product is insoluble in water and 10% dilute acid and dilute alkali solution.
Pluronic PE 6100 is used as a suds suppressor in dishwashing and bottlewash formulations, it has excellent suds suppressor properties even in the presence of protein starches and glues.
Pluronic PE 6100 is advisable to use it with the Plurafac range of products or with other Pluronic PE range varieties.

Applications of Pluronic PE 6100:
Pluronic PE 6100 can be employed in situations in which foam is a nuisance, such as in domestic dishwashers and industrial bottle-washing machines. It suppress foam very well, even in the presence of protein, starch or size.
Pluronic PE 6100 can also be used to defoam metal cleaning baths, acid dye baths and boiler feed water.

Storage of Pluronic PE 6100:
Pluronic PE 6100 containers should be stored tightly sealed in a dry place.

Pluronic PE 6100 is used as a low-foaming surfactant and defoamer in detergents and cleaning agents.
Typical applications of Pluronic PE 6100 include rinsing aids, detergents for dishwashers and  bottle-rinsing machines and industrial cleaning formulations.
To clarify aqueous solutions of Pluronic PE 6100, the addition of solubilizers such as ethanol or isopropanol is required.
Pluronic PE 6100 is also used as a low-foaming emulsifier in emulsion polymerization and as a dispersing agent for pigment pastes and preparations.

Pluronic PE 6100 can be employed in situations in which foaming is a nuisance, such as in domestic dishwashers and industrial bottle-washing machines.
Pluronic PE 6100 suppresses foam very well, even in the presence of protein, starch or size.
Pluronic PE 6100 is sometimes advisable to use it in combination with Plurafac LF types or other Pluronic PE types.
Pluronic PE 6100 can also be used to defoam metal cleaning baths, acid dye baths and boiler feed water.

Pluronic PE 6100, has good wetting and dispersing action coupled with low foaming tendency.
Within Pluronic PE 6100, the products with a lower degree of ethoxylation have a  better foam-suppressing effect than the products with a higher degree of ethoxylation.

Chemical nature of Pluronic PE :
The Pluronic PE types are low-foaming, nonionic surfactants.
The Pluronic PE types are block copolymers in which the central polypropylene glycol group is flanked by two polyethylene glycol groups.
The Pluronic PE types conform to the following structural formula.

Nomenclature of Pluronic PE:
The Pluronic PE types are designated by a four-figure or five-figure code.
The first digit – or first two digits – is a guide to the molar mass of the hydrophobe, in this case polypropylene glycol, on a scale of 1 – 10.
The second or third digit is the percentage of polyethylene glycol in the molecule, multiplied by 10.

Properties of Pluronic PE:
The consistency of the individual products in the Pluronic PE range is determined by their polyethylene glycol content and the molar mass of the central polypropylene glycol block.
They tend to become more solid as these figures increase.
The most important properties of the Pluronic PE types are listed in the table overleaf.
The information below is correct at the time of going to press.
It does not necessarily form part of the product specification.

Pluronic PE series of surfactants are low-foaming ethylene oxide and propylene oxide block copolymers.
